Cresswell Pele Tower

The village of Cresswell is home to a 15th Century Pele Tower. Recent archaeological excavations at the site have revealed another side to Cresswell, taking our village back more than 4,500 years. People were certainly living and dying here in the Bronze Age and there is evidence emerging that Cresswell was an important site as far back as the Neolithic. To find out more why not visit the Cresswell Pele Tower Project website where an ongoing record of the excavations, including a series of videos, can be found.
